Straßenkinder e.V. Berlin (www.strassenkinder-ev.de)

The association Straßenkinder e.V. was recognized by the Berlin Finance Authority in the year 2000 as non-profit for the “Support of Youth Welfare Services”  and is financed exclusively through donations. Straßenkinder e.V. looks after the interests of children and youths who live on the street and are afflicted by child and educational poverty. With their engagement in the areas of street work, youth centers, workshops, homework help, and organized recreational activities, Straßenkinder e.V. supports the reintegration of street children. In order to engage even more strongly in preventative measures, however, in April 2010, the association opened the “Kinder- und Jugendhaus Bolle” in the Marzahn district of Berlin.
